On September 22, 2018, at 5:03, officers responded to a stay at 8000 West Campbell Avenue at the invitation of the fight. The officers arrived and the caller met them. The officers were told that the suspect inside the headquarters of the physical assault on the victim, his girlfriend.
Officers gave orders in the open door to the dwelling and entered when there was no response. They called the suspect and the victim. The officers could hear what seemed like a struggle and a female cry. Officers walked towards the female voice and continued to contact the suspect and the female. The officers saw that the door of the bedroom was closed violently and heard what sounded like a machine gun behind the door. The female's voice sounded scary, and the officers were forced into the room. The two officers immediately confronted the gunman. The suspect referred to shots fired at the officers and the two officers opened fire on the suspect and stopped the threat.

The victim was safely removed from the room. The suspect was arrested with the help of police. The suspect was taken to hospital, where he is expected to survive injuries.
There were no injuries to officers.
