Brawl forces a passenger plane to cut its flight and return to Australia

Five passengers who were forced to help the crew take control of a man who was tearing his clothes off during a trip to Singapore were re-routed to Australia, Australian media reported on Tuesday.

The Australian Federal Police told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) that it had arrested the man when the plane belonging to "Scott " landed at Sydney International Airport on Monday evening.

The plane, which is affiliated with a low-cost airline, was on its way from Gold Coast to Singapore when two men began to punch.

A video clip showed his passengers and posted online a man trying to strangle the other, before the crew and other passengers could separate them from each other.

A man with a flight attendant argued when he suddenly tore up his shirt and attacked someone else.

A number of passengers jumped and took control of the attacker and handcuffed him and his legs.

One of the passengers told the "ABC " that a man had a heavy alcoholic drink and became aggressive after about 20 minutes of taking off the flight.

A spokeswoman for Scott company said that the man seemed normal during takeoff, but he soon began to disturb the passengers around him.

In an attempt to defuse the situation, he was taken to another place by plane by the cabin crew and prevented from taking alcohol.

The pilot took the decision to return and land in Sydney. Police have yet to announce whether the passenger will face charges.
