California police said on Saturday they were responding to a shooting incident that resulted in "a number of casualties" in the Bowling Hall near Los Angeles.
"There were reports of shooting with casualties," Torrance police said in a tweet. Los Angeles Times identified the shooting site at the Gable House bowling hall as police asked citizens to "stay away from the area." The coastal town of Torrance is 30 km (30 miles) southeast of Los Angeles.
