Additional charges affect the purchase price (shipping and transportation)
Delivery, shipping, handling and transport charges are part of the selling price. If the emergency supplies unit purchased is taxable, the delivery fee is also taxable. Keep these fees in mind when determining whether you can purchase emergency kit items tax-free during the holiday. For example, a $ 299 bailout can be purchased for a $ 10 delivery fee, at a total price of $ 309. Since the total selling price is over $ 300, the tax is due on the sale price of $ 309.
