Trump acknowledged for the first time that Moscow had helped him win the
2016 presidential election, but retracted his earlier criticism of Special
Investigator Robert Mueller, who investigated Russia's intervention in the
election.
Trump said on Twitter: "Russia, Russia, Russia! That's all you heard at the
beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax," in an angry response to Muller's
proposal that Congress take action to dismiss the president for obstructing
the work of the judiciary. But even though Trump did not delete Twitter, he quickly backed away from what he admitted to reporters when he left for Colorado that Russia "if it intervened, it helped the other side."
