Volvo has revealed that its upcoming car "EX90 SUV" will be the safest in the world because it will be the first to monitor drivers using cameras and sensors to detect if they are sleeping, intoxicated or distracted while driving.

The new volvo electric car EX90 SUV, due to be unveiled within a month, features a suite of new technologies that include eight cameras, five radars, 16 ultrasonic sensors and an advanced lidar system that enables the creation of a 360-degree view of a safety shield that can reduce accidents. Dangerous roads by up to a fifth.

The car will also have two interior cameras, a sensor and a touch-sensitive steering wheel to constantly monitor drivers if they are feeling drowsy, sick or look at their phones while driving.

If the driver does not respond to the alerts, he can control the vehicle and stop it if he senses an impending accident.

However, Volvo emphasized that the cameras do not record driver footage and only measure the direction of the driver's eyes and head position.

In this regard, Volvo is proud to be one of the first companies concerned with vehicle safety and is also one of the leading brands when it comes to new technology aimed at reducing the number of collisions and accidents in its cars.

And in recent years, the company has led the industry with a number of safety features for the first time, including speed limiters in all of its new cars produced from 2020 that limit drivers to speeds of no more than 112 mph.
