Technical reports from sources close to the Korean company Samsung revealed that it decided to provide its next phone, the average specification A54, with a new imaging sensor with a larger size and higher capabilities.

What are the features of the new Samsung A54 phone?

A report by GalaxyClub indicates that the upcoming Galaxy A54 will have a 50MP main camera.

This may indicate that Samsung has lowered the camera level in the new phone, since both its predecessors, the Galaxy A52 and A53, feature 64-megapixel main cameras.

But as it stands, megapixels aren't everything, and if anything, moving to a 50 megapixel sensor could signal an upgrade.

The current 64MP sensor used in the Galaxy A52 and A53 isn't particularly large, and Samsung's policy of including high-end features in some of its Galaxy A-series smartphones may mean that the A54 will have a larger and more capable 50MP main sensor.

According to reports, the device could use the same camera found in flagship-class phones such as the Galaxy S22 and S22+ but this is just a guess and has not been confirmed.

The Galaxy A53 still has about six more months before its life cycle ends, so we'll definitely hear more about the A54 as the release date approaches.
